A chain of online stores for seeds, seedlings and agricultural products.
We chose a clean theme that we gradually upgraded with the functionality we needed. We developed the design of the stores so that they are easy to navigate, without unnecessary elements and with clearly separated sections promoting different offers and products.
Stores have an integrated module for bank card payments and a cash on delivery option. Integration with Econt and Speedy was also a key requirement, which includes automatic shipping price calculation and the ability to track shipments and manage stock.
Each of the stores has a sign-up box for an email newsletter. This allows for easy implementation of email campaigns when there are promotions or special offers. Once again we have concluded that when a quality product is offered, people want to be updated with the offers from the merchant. Within the first month after the launch of the first store, over 200 people had already signed up for the Oakplants email newsletter.
As is proper for any self-respecting online store, here we have integrated Google Analytics 4 too, tailored specifically for ecommerce. This way, we receive detailed information on user behavior, the ability to properly optimize advertising campaigns, data in real time for current promotions, their efficiency and information about the entire process of making a purchase through the sites.
We have upgraded the standard OpenCart admin panel, creating a new, much more convenient module for viewing completed orders across sites, which displays all the necessary administration information directly under each order.
Similar to the Orders module, we have also developed a module that allows easy tracking of stock for each product, significantly facilitating the process of replenishing stock or removing a product from stock.
By a request of the client, we also developed a module showing detailed analyzes of received, completed and rejected orders, as well as information on the income, expenses and profit of each store.
We developed the online stores on OpenCart as the client was already well acquainted with the platform.
Despite the large number of plugins available for the platform, in the work process we also developed several modules, which expand the functionality of OpenCart according to the needs of the specific store.
It was clear from the beginning that the stores would be advertised mainly through Facebook.
We integrated Google Analytics 4 and Facebook tracking codes, developed a module that automatically creates the product catalogs needed for Facebook and performed basic on-page SEO optimization.
Although all three stores have the option to make online payments, the customer preferred that all orders would be paid only by cash on delivery.
This project is one of the few where our designers have been idle. The client provided us with the OpenCart theme they wanted, which we only slightly tweaked and used and at the three online stores.
We took the responsibility of finding a quality hosting provider and maintaining the stores.
This option is always preferable, because the entire technical part remains in our experienced hands, and the client does his business without worrying about technical problems arising and dealing with them.
